What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Looking over my shoulder. . .

finches.JPGA very busy couple of house finches have been very busily investigating the two grapevine wreaths that hang on the windows on either side of the front of my house.  Their noisy, cheerful chatter has kept me company in the mornings, and I have begun to get used to the feeling of someone looking over my shoulder as they cling to the screens and peer through the windows.

I do hope they decide to build a nest and raise a family.  I love house finches and if they build a nest in either of those wreaths, I will have a bird's eye view of the nest.

(And something fun to blog about for a couple of weeks!)

Do the 'yellow' finches come up your way? If so, the really FAT ones came from my house--they've been stuffing themselves down here for weeks. But I love 'em!! :-)

It's one of my goals in photography to someday get a really good shot of a bird. I ended up posting my brown plate special today and happy to report I'm down! So maybe in a couple more weeks I'll have taken off all I gained during my 2 weeks of convalescence...

I love our house finches too. They usually build a nest up in the corner of our front porch. We did after 3 years have to knock it down because of mites & such, but oh, I would love to have the little family back. Great pictures.
