QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Valentines (all) Day

Reader Comments (2)

Wait a minute! Wait, wait, wait.

These are all YOUR valentines, Kim? As in - you saved them in a shoebox or something for all these years? Seriously?

These are GREAT! I swear I remember that little artist one and the helicopter from years gone by.

This is so much fun. How many vintage valentines do you have total? And were they ones someone wrote on and gave to you or ones you had leftover or eBay ones or what?

None of them given to me when I was a child. :( Some have been given to me, some I have collected, some were leftovers. Believe it or not, one set I bought in the early nineties at a store that had a bunch of old boxes of valentines on the shelf. They are the ones that look to be circa 1960's. I gave them to my preschoolers that year--wish I had had the presence of mind to buy more of them!

The football ones were from my boys. I have a huge assortment of valentines--most of the newer ones are leftovers from the boys or from when I was a preschool teacher. Some of them are already looking dated! (The last year I taught preschool was the 93/94 school year).
