QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Here we go again

Eve was spayed this morning and we got to bring her home this afternoon. The vet said she got along fine and didn't even need to wear the cone as long as she continues to leave her tummy alone. And if Ivy will leave her alone! Ivy knows that something isn't right and she insists on "taking care" of Eve like she did last October when Eve had a different surgery. She is very attentive. It would be really sweet if we didn't have to keep after her to let poor Evie take a nap!

I didn't know dogs could be so concerned with one another.

Your doggies remind me of Old Dan and Little Ann from Where the Red Fern Grows.

hope she heals up fast. rory was pretty good, no cone for her, she kept away from her stitches.
again, your dogs are making me want to get a second, they're such sweet friends!

Donna, I have thought that myself so many times! They are that close. It's funny, because it'll only be a year this week since we brought Eve home to live with us. She was 7 then and will soon be 8. They're out of the same father, and that makes them step sisters, so maybe that is part of their closeness. I think it's just a characteristic of the breed. They are the most loving, sweet natured dogs in the world.

Hannah, you are doomed! Someday you'll be linking a picture of puppy number two on your blog! heheheh

Such sweet girls...animals are very "tuned in" when something isn't quite right with another animal friend, or even with one of their human friends. They are amazing that way.
