QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Don't they look happy?

Here's a picture of our son, John, and his bride-to-be, Beth. Aren't they cute?

So, when is the big day? I'm sure you've said and I just missed it. They do look mighty happy!

Hi momrn2!

The wedding is in May--seems right around the corner! I think I have everything done except addressing the invitations when they come back from the printer and picking out a dress for the rehearsal dinner.

Hi Donna!

He is very kind--a wonderful son and, as you know, we really like red heads around this house!

I am hoping for a granddaughter with red hair someday! [Beth and John, if you're reading this--no pressure! :)]

How exciting, I can't even imagine what it must feel like for you. Is he your first child to get married? BTW, yes - they do look happy.

Young love is SOOOOO qute :)

And red hair... I'm a blond with hidden reds. My mom is grey-haired now, but she used to be a true red head (with boys at school grabbing her pigtail and yelling "fire! fire!".) So I expected my girls to be red heads too. But no... :(

Yes, he's our first son and the first to get married. It's sort of bittersweet to see him getting married; it's what you hope and dream about when they are little, but it's a little sad to realize that yours will no longer be his primary family. But that is as it should be--it just takes some getting used to.
