Ecosystem Schmecosystem

I learned tonight, to my chagrin, that I am an insignificant "insignificant microbe". I am, in fact, so insignificant that I decided not to wait until the page finished loading to see just how really insignificant I really am.
But as I told Carol, who needs them? I prefer to think of myself as a sub-atomic particle--an electron, to be exact. After all, I am in constant motion, I'm a really good sharer, I can hop over and visit other electrons, and I am full of energy.
So there, ecosystem!

Hmm. What does that make me?
Hey, you're much more than an "insignificant microbe" to me, to us I dare say! Don't be disheartened. You're the hub of my blogsurfing world!
Kyle, I guess that makes you an electron, too! You know, electrons have all the fun! :)
missmellifluous,
You are so very kind, but don't worry; I'm not disheartened. I'm just having a little bit of fun at my own expense. I can afford it! :)
One of the teen blogs writers whom my daughter reads, called it the "ego system" as opposed to the "ecosystem." Isn't it the truth?
Ego system! Oh, that is priceless. Makes me want to scrap all links and be an electron, too.
