Chesterton Quote
Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 10:34AM
There are two ways to get enough: one is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less. —G. K. Chesterton
Just read this at Ian's Messy Desk. In light of the recent Carnival of Beauty on Contentment, I thought it was worth repeating.
Reminds me of a similar quote--one of my all time favorites:
Enough is as good as a Feast. --
Mary Poppins

I guess it depends on enough of what. Sometimes I have enough of my kids' undesireable behaviors. Then enough is like, too much!
This quote has such applications, from our material wants to our expectations of others.
Excellent quotes! I just added both to my "quote book".
