Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Bakker, Frans.
We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made. - M. Acklam
I have Jamaican friend, actually, who is terrified of any and all dogs such that he prefers even to walk all the way around a block than walk past a fenced-in yapper. And he's 6'3", 220 lbs.!
Maybe he was bitten by a dog when he was a child or has never had a positive experience with a dog. I think our Eve could be a good therapy dog. She is so sweet and loving, I think that even your friend would warm up to her over time.
Ivy, on the other hand, is younger and more energetic (read: she still jumps on people and wants to kiss them!). Some people don't like to be jumped on. I don't blame them. (to her credit, though, she is getting much better...she just has a way to go)

To think that some people don't like dogs!

Since there's a stereotype that Jamaicans are afraid of dogs, my friends and I like to attribute his fear to that. ;-)
Amen! (to the dogs, not to the Jamaican!)
