An Aubade

An Aubade from The Shining Pathway

Six O'Clock
There's something fine in the new sunshine,
At six o'clock in the morning;
When you are blest with a good night's rest,
At six o'clock in the morning.
Begin the day in the good old way,
At six o'clock in the morning;
Address the Lord as you read His Word,
At six o'clock in the morning.
Take time to sit and think a bit,
At six o'clock in the morning;
Gird up your mind with the truth you find,
At six o'clock in the morning.
You find great gain for your heart and brain,
At six o'clock in the morning;
If you arise with the good and the wise
At six o'clock in the morning.

Okay, that's cool. I think I can set this to music. It might end up sounding like,
"Ot seex o'clahk in de mar-nin'," but it's got a nice island sound. Steel drums, shakers...yeah. That could work.
(I'm just playing.)
I like the words, it's got a great beat, and you can dance to it. . .isn't that what they used to say on
American Bandstand?
;)
I was up at a quarter to six - it was not that great! Actually there was no sunshine just dark and all my family slept blissfully on. But by sevenish I was able to think and by eightish I was good for worship time with God. This was written by a morning person! Gasp!
Oh my! I just noticed you posted this at 5:50am! We had very different mornings!
