QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Those dogs crack me up. Did they wake up when you snapped the pic?

Yes, they sleep like that a lot and no, they don't wake up when I take pictures of them but if you sneak into the kitchen and try to even open a cupboard (not to mention food of any kind) they materialize as if they had been magically transported.

Aww, look at them!

My dogs don't like each other. That is, the older one never liked the younger one. She's always bluntly ignored her -totally. She was good friends with my late Bernese, but not this "kid" (almost 11 years old...)

These days, when the floor is so cold and the grand old lady is very old (almost 14), she reluctantly sleeps on the same bed as the kid. But always, ALWAYS with her back turned to her - and definitely NOT too close! *grin* Also, every evening she waits for me to push the kid to the side of the bed, so that Her Royal Highness has enough room to lay down...

eija,

Aren't dogs funny? Ivy, though the younger, was here first. She does not like Eve to get up on our bed and she'll try to guard it to keep her off. Eve will have none of that, though, and once she hops up, Ivy immediately gives up and snuggles in with her. I think it is just a remnant and a reminder to them both that "she was here first."
