What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Hey Kim, I tried Squarespace's trial, but could never import my old posts...did you have problems with that?? And, did you add your header yourself?

p.s. Thanks for your encouraging words over at my place.

Thanks for stopping by, everyone! Just having some comments has really made me feel more at home over here. For the last month it's been a little like coming home to an empty house. There's some furniture and pictures on the wall, but if you look in the drawers, there's no silverware, so to speak.

Robin,

I chose not to move my posts from Blogger over here. I cross posted while I was setting stuff up and playing with the site, but I want to leave my old posts on Blogger. I have heard that if you vacate a URL someone else can take it and make it something you might be embarrassed to have associated with your "name" so I thought it best to leave it as is. I got around that by providing links by month to my pages over there. Someday if I get brave I may try to import stuff as long as I know I won't lose my original posts. I've got plenty to do to keep me busy for now, though.

As for the header. My friend, Jules, created the original header for me over at Blogger. It didn't translate to Squarespace, so it took a bit of work on her part (and some ineffective fooling around on mine) to get this header sized correctly and installed. It isn't hard to install an image once it is sized correctly.

I think there may be a way for each of my blogs to have their own headers, but I haven't had time to investigate that yet. I hope to do that in the future.

I really like squarespace and recommend it, should you ever get tired of the Blogger Blues.
