What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Weather Oddities

Ice, ice everywhere!  From Texas to Kansas, to Oklahoma to Ontario, Canada, bloggers everywhere are on ice today.

We were lucky.  A bit of ice last night, followed by a bit of snow overnight.  The roads were clear by morning.  It's been snowing here all afternoon and the snow is beginning to accumulate again, but this is just winter in Chicagoland.  We've been fortunate this year.

Wonder how it is in the Yukon Territory. . .

I'm praying for all my friends on ice tonight!

It's still freezing here in sunny California. At 9:30 PM it's 25º. Very cold and most plants are looking pretty bad in my garden.

We still have ice on the trees, but thankfully the rain has stopped!

It's nice having power again!

It's VERY cold here. - 20C with a windchill of -40, so we are STAYING INSIDE today. But there isn't any storming - just cold, so that's a mercy.

In the Yukon?

It's quite nice. We do have snow, but it's of the nice dry fluffy sort, and yesterday it was -1C, which would be 30 or so Fahrenheit (sp?). Today it's a little colder, but I haven't checked yet, so can't give an exact temp.

Well, I'm jealous about the snow, Kim. We're still waiting for winter in this part of PA...XO

We have had about 5-6 days of nonstop rain, but today the temp is in the 20's sothe rain has finally stopped. Good thing, too, because we have a leak in the roof and water was running down Amy's bedroom wall yesterday!!
