What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Not to give God our spirit(ual worship) is a great sin.  It is a mockery of God, not worship, contempt, not adoration, whatever our outward fervency or protestations may be.  Every alienation of our hearts from Him is a real scorn put upon Him.  The acts of the soul are real, and more the acts of the man than the acts of the body; because they are the acts of the choicest part of man, and of that which is the first spring of all bodily motions; it is the internal speech whereby we must speak to God.  To give Him, therefore, only an external form of worship without the life of it, is taking His name in vain.

Love it! I bet you bake your heart out for Valentine's Day. I was hoping the picture would enlarge so I could see the cookbooks too!

Oh, sorry, Rosemary. I should've tried what Kathie told me about making it a thumbnail, but I forgot.

Next time I take pictures of the plates and curtains, I'll try to remember to zero in on the cookbooks--and make the photos clickable.

Those are so pretty! I saw in a magazine once using plate holders to display beautiful children's books, but I've never seen holders that were quite big enough.

I was just saying to my friend the other day how much I love gingham! I love your window dressing. I need to do something like that.

Hi Kim,

You can't tell from the photos, but the gingham napkins that I'm using as curtains has hearts and a tiny thread of metallic silver.

Very sweet.

Remember what I told you? Drugs. Ask your doctor to give you something that will make you sleep about 8 hours and you'll be rested and ready to go once you get here.

Really. We won't make you go anywhere once you're here.

We just hope you'll be able to come someday. Until then, I'll keep sharing our home with you via the blog. It's not as good as being here, but it's better than nothing!

Miss you, Sally.

I love these posts! Redecorating the kitchen often keeps it more interesting to get in there to cook, doesn't it?
