What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Christianity is the true worship and service of the true God, humankind’s Creator and Redeemer. It is a religion that rests on revelation: nobody would know the truth about God, or be able to relate to him in a personal way, had not God first acted to make himself known. But God has so acted, and the sixty-six books of the Bible, thirty-nine written before Christ came and twenty-seven after, are together the record, interpretation, expression, and embodiment of his self-disclosure. God and godliness are the Bible’s uniting themes.

Giving Thanks in November

Sunday is always a day of thanksgiving for me.  To be able to worship the Living God, to sing praises to His Name, to teach the Word of God to alert and attentive young minds, to confess my sins and hear the Declaration of Forgiveness.  To hear the Word of God preached and to be exhorted to live in a "thankful orientation" as our speaker urged and then to stand and hear the benediction offered at the end of the service.  These are all precious things to me.

My Christian friend, have you lifted up your heart with thanksgiving to the Lord this day?

Psalm 50:23  The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me!
