What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
It is not work that kills men, it is worry. Work is healthy; you can hardly put more on a man than he can bear. But worry is rust upon the blade. It is not movement that destroys the machinery, but friction."

Henry Ward Beecher

Giving Thanks in November

Tonight I'm thankful for new brakes, a working horn, and my husband's attentive driving.   We had a very close shave tonight.

What a comfort it is to know that our Lord is so busy on our behalf from His heavenly seat of divine authority.  We may never know when He has sent angels to minister to us in time of need, to thwart spiritual antagonists, and to strengthen us in times of weakness.  Like the chariots of fire that surrounded the prophet Elijah, how many times to we receive unseen help from those ministering spirits that Christ sends to us?

Unnerving, yes? But, I'm thankful you're safe, too. Those close calls teach us so much....
