What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

When you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed very Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it.

Westminster Confession of Faith

wcf.JPGHave you been following Kyle's week by week, chapter by chapter posts on the Westminster Confession of Faith?

He's up to Chapter 21,  Of Religious Worship and the Sabbath Day.  Have you read it lately?  Have you ever read it?  Oh, you should!

I remember clearly the first time I studied through this chapter.  It lead to a whole bunch of Bible reading and book reading (and book buying) and praying and thinking and reading and praying.

If you read it for the first time (or again for the fifth or tenth or fiftieth time!) and it grabs you, let me know.

In the meantime, I'll crank up the volume and listen again to the beautiful piano music on Kyle's blog.  I'll bet that grabs you, too.

(Oh, and you can click on the Westminster button in my side bar and find links to the other 20 chapters, too. . .)

Kim - Do you know what the name of the piece being played is over at Kyle's blog? I'd love to play it.

Kim,

Thanks for keeping tabs on my humble work. :)

Naomi,

The name of the tune is "Fingal," and it is a setting for Psalm 40 in the Book of Psalms for Singing. You may also find the tune here at Psalm 40e.
