What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Brrrrr

wind chill.JPG

Yesterday, Tom was wondering how my friends in Canada manage in weather like this.  We get a taste of it from time to time and it proves us to be weather wimps.  Do you just get used to it? What do you do to prepare for this kind of weather?

It's snowing lightly and the wind is blowing.  It looks like the Arctic outside.  I don't want to go out, but we need to pick up milk and a prescription.  After that, I'm staying in!

Golly, Kim, you guys be careful out there! Hunker down and stay warm!

I've lived in a very, very cold part of Canada all my life but I've never exactly gotten used to it. There's nothing like the pure, cold light after a snowstorm, though. My kids are just coming in redcheeked from the cold right now - which brings me to my suggestion - lots of hot chocolate!

First of all, I love it that you reference the National Weather Service. It's so 'aviational.'

I'm not from Canada, but I can't see how one would get used to it...a warm coat helps, but only for a short while. We're having single digit temps with wind chills below zero this week, too.

It's going on noon now, on Tuesday. I hope you're getting some relief, Kim!
