What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Oh, NO!  Snow!

april 11 snow.jpgSnow, snow, snow.  Go, Snow, go!

So, I'm standing at my kitchen window, glumly staring out at the snow blowing sideways, sticking to the trees, slushing up the roads, covering the grass and potentially making a mess of my family's travel plans.  And I noticed something strange.  What's that?  A little rodent, hopping in the snow covered grass.   Looks like a gerbil; no, wait, there's another, slowing climbing up the tree, and another!

All in all there were four tiny little squirrels out galivanting in the snow, playing and chasing and hopping around.  Silly things.   They were acting as if they'd never seen snow before.  Well, maybe they hadn't!

Oh my goodness! So sorry about that white stuff!

You know, if it weren't for the fact that my family is flying into O'Hare late this afternoon, I'd probably be out there with the squirrels doing a happy, happy snow dance.

I've heard that the delays at O'Hare are already at around 3 hours. I just hope they can catch up by later in the day.

We have rain today, but no snow. Maybe your squirrels came from CA, which would mean they have not seen snow. Actually I wish my squirrels would go visit you for a while!!
Have fun on your trip!!

I think my squirrels couldn't be more than a few weeks old. It's been some time since we had measurable snow.

Susie, you are always welcome for a visit, but your squirrels? They should stay home. We have enough of our own, thankyouverymuch.

The squirrels sound cute, frolicing in the dreaded snow. It's supposed to be a snowstorm here tonight, too. :(

Oh Kim, I'm so sorry about the snow...well, I'm speaking from my own feelings. I know how I would feel to be assulted with a load of snow in April. Instead, we have 40F with rain in PA--not much better. I often wonder how the birds and squirrels manage.
