What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Why Construction Paper is Called Construction Paper

There is nothing like looking, if you want to find something. You certainly usually find something, if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after.
J.R.R. Tolkien

I went up to the attic this morning to bring down the box in which I store my Easter decorations.  While I was poking around in the "decorations station"  I came across a box of old decorations that I no longer use.  I pulled out a basket that I hadn't seen in years and discovered these:

Were those made by your Sam? He's so artistic!

Yes, Sam did them. He used an interesting technique, too. He'd just start with a piece of construction paper and start cutting--no drawing shapes or anything. When he came to the next piece he had to cut for a character, he would pick up the next colored paper and start cutting--never comparing it to the other one for size or fit. He rarely had to adjust anything. Once he had all his parts cut out, he'd glue them on with his trusty gluestick and then draw the faces and details.

It was fun to watch.

I'm going to show those to The Boy tomorrow, and see if he can come up with some Veggie Tales figures of his own!

That is way too cute! Your Sam has talent in the creative department. I'm interested to see hwere this will lead...
