ONION SNOW

Pam left a comment in this post about "onion snow."  I'd never heard of it, so I asked her about it.  She has responded with  a very interesting post (which includes a yummy recipe for an Italian soup) about wild onions and garlic.   

I lived in PA for several years and I remember the little onion smelling bulbs that sprang up in my flox every spring.  I wish I could remember if we ever had an "onion snow" when we lived there.  I think our one and only Nor'easter made such an impression that a little dusting of spring snow wasn't as memorable.

Temp is dropping in PA as well with snow forecasted,too. Somebody better shoot the little hog that lied!!!! I hope this is the onion snow and its over.
