What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

The Power of His Resurrection

This Easter, read one mother's account of God's faithfulness in her trials and suffering; an account of the power of the resurrection to change lives:

Though I behaved as the jeering criminal on the cross yelling, "If You are really God, why didn't you save my son?"  He treated me as the one sheep who was gone astray.  The Savior Jesus Christ who came to die for a wretch like me, forgave my sin of anger and rebellion.  The Risen Lord who conquered death and hell, changed my heart to understand victory over eternal death rests only in Him. The Messiah King who is enthroned at God's right hand, taught me of Himself: His character is trustworthy in all things and His Sovereignty is displayed in all circumstances.  I cling to Him alone.

. . .to  be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
