What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Christianity is the true worship and service of the true God, humankind’s Creator and Redeemer. It is a religion that rests on revelation: nobody would know the truth about God, or be able to relate to him in a personal way, had not God first acted to make himself known. But God has so acted, and the sixty-six books of the Bible, thirty-nine written before Christ came and twenty-seven after, are together the record, interpretation, expression, and embodiment of his self-disclosure. God and godliness are the Bible’s uniting themes.

Random Music Meme

I'm behind on two memes already (I haven't forgotten, really I haven't, I just haven't taken the time because I know it's going to take some time to do them right!) .  Even so, I'm going to do this one because it's very, very easy.

 Rebecca started a
"put-your-iPod-on-shuffle-and-confess-publically-what-comes-up" meme.  I don't have an iPod, but I do have iTunes on my computer, so I took the lazy way out.  I put iTunes on shuffle and then took a screen shot of the songs that came up.  I didn't even listen to them--how lazy is that?

Not much of a shuffle here. I think it must've shuffled the most recents because I see alot of Jake and Sam's music.

Sam loves movie soundtracks. Jake loves Classic Rock.

This is a really neat meme. We have similar tastes in music...I could do without the David Bowie, though. My husband's favorite group is The Beatles, so I get to listen to them a lot. I am surprised to see some LedZep on your list...sometimes you just gotta get the Led out, huh?

Hey! Guess whose birthday is today?

Is it your birthday?

If you did a shuffle of just your music, what would come up?

That's a interesting list. I have quite a bit of James Taylor on my iPod, but none of them came up in the shuffle.

Do you have the Princess Bride soundtrack?
No, but I have the movie on tape and on DVD. I would love the soundtrack, though. . .wonder if I can find it used on amazon?

I have Screenplaying, which includes Mark Knopler's songs from 3 or 4 movies, including Princess Bride. I keep coming back to the Princess Bride songs. . .

I love your list. I like Sting, too, but I don't have any music on my iTunes.

Today is Bob Dylan's birthday. He's 66.

Ah Sting, Bowie, and the Beatles! Can it get any better?!
