Monday, July 16, 2007 at 12:55PM I read this morning that one of my favorite movies, The Princess Bride, is 20 years old! Can you believe it?
Have you seen it? It's one of our family's favorite, and most quoted films. In fact, I think it is one of the most quotable films ever made.
Here's a few we like:
"Let me 'splain. . . No, there is too much. . . Let me sum up."

"There's not a lot of money in revenge."

Connie shared Princess Bride with her newly adopted daughters, so along with their new English speaking skills they added these gems:

"The Princess Bride" is on my top 5 list of all-time favorite movies! I think my kids (all young adults) know the entire script by heart. So many great quotes...such a funny, whimsical and engaging story. Movies like that don't come along very often!
My favorite is, "Have fun storming the castle!"
We LOVE this movie, and introduced our daughters to it very early after we adopted them (who had precious little English under their belts at the time, which I'm sure made it even MORE bizarre!)
