What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Conscience is something, in a sense, apart from man. It has been put in him by God; it is a reminder of the voice of God within him, an inward monitor, and a man cannot really manipulate his conscience. He can go against it, but that is not manipulating it. It is possible, as this Apostle says again in writing to Timothy, for the conscience to be seared “with a hot iron”. But nevertheless it is true to say that the conscience is an independent witness.
Martyn Lloyd-Jones (God’s Sovereign Purpose)

Alice the Camel

uploaded-file-41256Brrr.  It's cold out there this morning!  You KNOW it's cold when Alice the Camel (AKA Eve) refuses to go outside to go potty.

Eve can "hold" it forever if it's exceedingly cold or rainy out. When she was younger, this same dog would hunt in the field all day in a driving rain or blistering heat, but she won't set a toenail off the porch if the weather doesn't suit her.

I was true to my word yesterday.  Other than setting a bag of trash outside the backdoor for my husband to take to the garbage can before he came in when he got home from work last night, I never crossed the threshold.

Today, however, I am going to venture out into the nose hair freezing air to go antiquing and lunching with my friend, Dorothy.

I'll be back with photos of my purchase(s) if I find anything.  And you can bet that if I hustle and bustle my way from the car to the door of the big antique mall, I WILL come home with a trophy to mark the occasion.

What's the weather like where you are?  Post up a story or a picture and send your link to Rebecca and she'll include you in her Weather Round up on Friday.
