"There's probably no God"

In which case, He probably won’t judge them for their 'possible' act of public heresy.
Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!Bakker, Frans.

I thinking I'm getting to that stage in life where nothing surprises me!!
I hadn't read about this yet - thanks for sharing.
I don't know how to react. My head is spinning. I'll see where it stops and maybe there will be a coherant thought...
Bleh. I'm glad I'm not in Britain and don't have to cover my kids' eyes everytime one of those marked buses drive by.
I'm with Ellen. Sort of speechless on this one. I guess I should be more with Elaine in that nothing should surprise me anymore but...I am surprised, shocked actually.
You know what annoys me most about this? One cannot post ads which might offend 'religious' people, but one CAN post ads which offend people who are not religious. Is that not a form of discrimination? I thought it was...
Hi Jay!
Actually, no one is being discriminated against: Some Christians wanted to place ads and they were able to do so. Some Muslims wanted to place ads and they were able to so. Some atheists wanted to place ads and they were able to do so. No one was hindered from placing their ads.
I suspect each ad annoyed or offended someone. But no one was denied the right to place their ads. Do you think it's discriminatory or wrong for Christians or Muslims or religious persons in general to talk about thems?
Dawkins will probably be wanting his $9000 back then since he has just recently stated "A serious case could be made for a deistic God."
You can read about it here:

I'm guessing he probably won't be given a refund.
I also think this will be the cause of some great discussions between commuters in Britain. There is nothing like seeing a claim of this proportion in writing before your eyes to confront you with the enormity of the claim and the logical consequences. I pray that there will be evangelistic Christians on those busses who are willing to discuss these statements with their fellow travellers. I'm struck by the significance of the metaphor - life is a bus going where if there is no God? And who made the bus in the first place?
