What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!
Bakker, Frans.

NOW IS FLEETING

Open your eyes!

Glory fades
with each sweep of lashes.

The sky in your photo is fabulous? Where was that taken? Very pretty.

It is gorgeous, isn't it? I'm not sure where it was taken, but I suspect it is Lake Superior. Laura, who hosts the weekly "In 15 Words or Less" challenge, posts one of her own photos every Thursday morning. The idea of the challenge is for the photo to invite your poetry muse to come out to play--in just 15 words or less. I have given myself the additional challenge to do it in 5 minutes or less. If I can't come up with something within 5 minutes, I simply pass that week's photo. Why don't you give it a try? It's a lot of fun. I've discovered that I really DO like to write poetry, an interest that had been lying dormant since I was in junior high.

I like that phrase "with each sweep of lashes"- it brings on the immediacy of each moment! Beautiful, Kim!

Thanks, Heidi! Do you see the lashes?
