What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Dictionary Word of the Day:  Lucullan

Lucullan \loo-KUHL-uhn\, adjective:

rich; magnificent and luxurious

This is a new one for me. In light of what has so recently transpired in our family, this word took my thoughts here:

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

What a great word. My husband and I love words like this. I'm going to have to figure out a way to casually use this word with friends on Thanksgiving. ;-)

Nice word. I'm still not sure how I could put it in a sentence though..."The decor was so lucullan!" ??? "I had the most exquisitely lucullan chocolate cake at Kim's house."???? "God has demonstrated His most lucullan grace to us in Christ." Ummm....do they work?
