What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

A Letter a Week:  S

Grrrr.  I'm not at all happy with this one, but there's no time at present to re-work it.  Believe it or not, all the pen work was done with the same ink, but the fine lines look much darker than the letters that were executed with a broad nibbed pen. There are smudges and smears but let's just pretend a couple of beautiful snowflakes fluttered onto the paper and left their mark, shall we?  That sounds much nicer than my hand dragging across the page before the ink dried, doesn't it?

You can find more ABC Wednesday entries at the ABC Wednesday Anthology blog.

I think it looks pretty, Kim. Snow is white, and the white space is reminiscent of snow, so it works. :) (I STILL think you should make these into a quilt - or at least into patterns for a quilt - or cross-stitch. :))

Kim, I was going to quit blogging for the night, but your comment on the Anthology page had me intrigued. Snowflakes--a perfect choice for S, but I do hope we don't see too many of them this winter:) I'm sure you as the artist see the imperfections in your calligraphy, but I think it's beautiful!

Season's greetings for a highly relevant S (at least to us up here in the north).

Lovely work, Kim and I see no smudges or smears.
As for me snow is a four letter word.
Sigh.

Bear((( )))

It is pretty even if you're not satisfied with it! I think it almost has a 3D look about it.
