What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
It is not work that kills men, it is worry. Work is healthy; you can hardly put more on a man than he can bear. But worry is rust upon the blade. It is not movement that destroys the machinery, but friction."

Henry Ward Beecher

Quote of the Week:  Brooks

Remember that it is not hasty reading, but serious meditation on holy and heavenly truths, that makes them prove sweet and profitable to the soul. It is not the mere touching of the flower by the bee that gathers honey, but her abiding for a time on the flower that draws out the sweet. It is not he that reads most, but he that meditates most, that will prove to be the choicest, sweetest, wisest and strongest Christian.

Thomas Brooks

Hi Kim-
I love this quote....it's one of my favourites. I got it from the book 'Devotions from the puritans' but couldn't find it when I went to look it up again, as I'd be interested to know the source of it!

Hope you are well!...I haven't been reading blogs for a wee while...
