In Like a Lion
Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 06:00AM
It's March 1st again and it looks like March is coming in like a lion again this year:
After the winter we've had this year, I was tempted to proclaim "in like a lamb" even though the temperatures are so cold.
Today's forecast doesn't include snow or gusty winds; no winter storm warnings or dangerous windchills.
I guess you could call it a tame lion.
After the winter we've had this year, I'll take it!
What's it like in your neck of the woods? How is March coming in?--Like a Lion or a Lamb?

We have cold drizzly rain...my very least favorite weather condition of all! Had to go out in it today -- on foot, naturally -- so that we could eat tonight. This is when I really miss a warm fireplace, a comfy chair, a book, and (depending on the time of day) mulled wine, coffee, or tea.
Like a lion - we're expecting a storm - snow - then freezing rain - then snow again!
I feel so guilty...it's sunny and the high is going to be 73 today. :) Of course, Monday, we are expecting thunderstorms...that's our "snow" here in Texas. Rain. Lots of it.
Well, I'm not entirely sure. We had snow earlier today (way earlier - like 4:00 a.m.-ish), but the sun is shining and it's lovely. Cold, but lovely. Does that mean March came in like a lion or a lamb? :)
You Chicagoland people are truly getting hit!
Misty, moisty, no sunshine to be seen yet here...
and about the moldy - I mean molded cheese. To make it more clear, the cheese is put into a mold with holes in the bottom and then weighted down to force moisture out of the cheese and form it into the shape of the mold...
Warmish and melty with a big storm due for tonight. And a storm yesterday. And a storm tomorrow.
Sigh....
Well, we've had a fair bit of growling today from the March lion in the form of snow squalls. They haven't amounted to much accumulation, but there was lots of blowing around the yard. Temps for the coming week in Eastern PA are reaching into the mid-50s, but staying mostly in the low 40s.
RRROOAAARRRR!!!!! 16 degrees, snow and wind ...
