What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

This is What I've Been Working On. . .

I've been working on this project for about a week.  It's been great fun because I've had help from my friend, Rosemary, "The Knotess" who has been helping me learn how to make knots.  She helped me a great deal with the placement of the plaits and the colors.  I am very happy with this piece--and very tired!  I've been working at this almost non stop since about 7 am, so I'm off for a cup of coffee and a snuggle with Ivy on the couch!

So very beautiful Kim! You did good and I see why you are tired. Oh I just walked to the mailbox and the seeds arrived!! I'm so excited. Thank you.
Thanks, Ellen! I can't wait to see those columbines growing in your garden next spring!

It is beautiful, Kim! Those knots are very impressive. Enjoy your cuddle with Ivy!

Thanks, Dorothy. Those knotted borders are very, very simple. (still pretty hard for me, though). Squarespace just had a major upgrade and I'm still sort of finding my way around--I can't figure out how to make links. When I can, I will link to some of Rosemary's work. It is absolutely stunning.

It's gorgeous! I'm glad there's a Rosemary out there who knows how to make such lovely knots.Oh! You should see her knots. These are very simple, generic little things. Her knots are really beautiful.

Wow, Kim!!! What is the price for one of those?

I haven't really figured it out yet. It would depend upon the size. I have retained the reproduction rights on this design, so I can offer it as a giclee--probably 3 x 5, 5 x 7, 8 x 10, and 11 x 13. It actually has gold paint in the letter 'P' that doesn't show up well on the scanned image. The colors are a little off on the scan, too. (the nature of the beast)

Let me know what you're thinking and we can figure out the cost.
