What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Have you noticed?

Color is back.  I was leafing through our local Target flyer yesterday and saw (horrors!!) legs with grapey purple stockings and shiny black high heels.  That was bad enough.  I was waiting for the local forecast on The Weather Channel and saw a commercial in which a woman was pushing a shopping cart in a Home Improvement store  clad in black hose and shiny red heels.  Last night I was flipping through a copy of PEOPLE magazine and discovered (say it isn't so!) that shiny, glittery, frosted, intensely colorful applied-in-multiple-colors eye shadow is making a comeback, too.

Maybe you already noticed.  I am so far behind the fashion trends that it actually took purple hosiery to get my attention.

If this trend continues, will YOU be sporting orange pantyhose and shiny green or brown heels by Hallowe'en?

Ha! I'm no fashionista, it will still be blue jeans and a subdued top most days of the week :0)Me, too!

I'm noticing colors in the trees and in a baby's blue eyes- I'm still wearing the clothes I bought 20 some years ago- maybe those colors are coming back?
