The First Day. . .

. . .of the last year of home school.
The beginning of the end. The school cabinet is ready but I'm not sure I am.
Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!Bakker, Frans.

Bittersweet beginnings make for a year of great transition! My older son graduated a year early from high school- only he didn't inform me until January that this was his plan. I regretted missing the first half of last times. End this special time with finesse -not regrets! You can plan into your son's education many opportunities to grow and mature as well as learn- and it is a gift of selflessness that you can give him. ( Sorry if this sounds like a sermon- my family is full of encouragers- my sister Robin would say, "Buck up" around this point!)
That was a sermon I needed to hear! 'Buck up' is also something you'd hear around our house! I did buck up and we had a very nice first day of school.
The first day of a job well done! you should be proud of both of your accomplishments.
I home schooled my boys for about 3 1/2 years.. so many wonderful memories.. congrats
