What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Sighting Spring

Last night I didn't have to put the porch light on before Tom came home from work.

Yesterday, I saw a pussy willow, all furry and gray.

The forecast for tomorrow is 50 degrees!

The sky was warming up this morning when I let Eve out to go potty around 6 am.  A infinitesimal brightening of the darkness--hard to describe but definitely spring-like.

The snow is shrinking.

I am dreaming of fresh herbs from the garden.

How about you?  What signs of SPRING have you spotted?

I, too, noticed the daylight being longer. I was in the car the other day at 5:30 p.m., and it wasn't dark yet.

My signs are internal. The yearning is increasing. I'm planning lettuce gardens in hot beds.

We actually have real rain right now in southern California. It's a nice change...not too Springy feeling but come next week that will all change. My Southern California "Sign of Spring" is when the strawberry stands open on the edge of farms here and start selling the fresh picked berries!!

I just hope it comes quickly to Ohio...I love spring and the warm weather it brings!

None, so far. (Sigh!) I just wish it would get a little warmer..... Tanner got a haircut last weekend, and he does NOT like to stay outside at night now!!

Spring is a long way off for us here. No mild days. Plants are just frying. Actually, so are we. It's set to be close to 40 degrees (104 fahrenheit) today! But I love the heat. So it's ok...just a little hard to breathe outside.

We've had some wonderful, sunny 60 degree days, but we've had a severe lack of winter snow and everything is very brown and dry. Drought conditions remain in Colorado. The thought of fresh herbs from the garden is tremendously appealing!

We had SUN!! Two days in a row, now!! :) At first, I couldn't decide whether to clean or go outside (unfortunately, I chose to clean.....)
