What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Dictionary Word of the Day:  thaumaturgy

thaumaturgy \THAW-muh-tuhr-jee\, noun:

The performance of miracles or magic.

A new word!  A new word!  I've never come across this word before, have you?

The only thaumaturgy I can claim is the occasional miraculous transformation of leftovers. . .

It sounds like a fancy word for "thingamajig" or "abracadabra"..... Maybe that's what they were going for and couldn't decide how to spell it? :)

Oooh! Nice word! This is a new word for me too. And, Kim, you'll be excited to know I learnt a new trick, a REAL magic trick, on camp with my Year 10 students this week!!! It is so exciting. I can't do it very well though. I need to practise. :) I am very glad you have now given me a new word for my new trick!

Oooh...and another even better miracle happened too - one of my Yr 10 girls gave her life to God!!! So exciting! The camp was full of thaumaturgy. This word has so many uses!
