Recipe Referral: Foccacia Bread
Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 01:37PM
Less than two weeks ago, I came across a great recipe for foccacia bread at Mennonite Girls Can Cook. (You're subscribed already, right? If not, go do it now--I'll wait. . .) Mere minutes after that post appeared, I had my mixer and my measuring cups out.
Folks, this is an easy, fast, and scrumptious recipe; I am not an accomplished bread baker, (that's Heidi) so if I can do it, you can do it.
I made a loaf today to divide with my son and daughter-in-law:
I topped mine with paper thin slices of sweet onion and red pepper, dried italian seasoning, and freshly shredded parmesan reggiano. It smelled heavenly baking.
So go. Check out this and all the other wonderful recipes at Mennonite Girls Can Cook.

That looks so incredibly yummy Kim! I'm heading over there to check out that recipe...
YUM!!! I'd say you have a winner, there! I love the stringy chewiness of Foccacia- Yeah, I;m making this when I get home from Columbus!
Looks good Kim! So what did you serve this scrumptious bread with?
One half is for our dinner--we're having lasagna--and the other half is for my sick daughter in law and I made them homemade chicken noodle soup. I would eat this bread with anything.
You created a beauty kim!!
Makes me hungry just looking at it, Kim!
Sorry to hear Beth is sick now.
I can almost taste it now! Can't wait to try this recipe!
That looks so good - MGCC is the best!
