The Best Laid Plans. . .
I went to bed last night thinking about how much I would accomplish on the house today. Scrape the panes on the windows I painted on Saturday, finish the boards on that part of the house, start washing down and scraping the next section. . . I uploaded two books to my iPod so I could listen while I was working. I actually dreamed about painting last night!
However, I woke up this morning to thunder and lightning and the sound of rain rattling in the gutters and downspouts. A quick peek at the Weather Channel tells me I won't be accomplishing much on the house today. How frustrating!
What's even more frustrating is that Tom finally able to take three days off this week to paint and now the forecast for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday is not promising. Rain all three days. Tuesday looks like it might be OK, but I have a doctor's appointment and a couple of other things to do on Tuesday.
So it looks right now as if instead of four solid 8-10 hour days of painting this week, three of which with two of us painting, we may be spinning our wheels, waiting for the rain to go away and things to dry up enough to get the ladders out.
A man’s heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9
Well, if you don't like the weather on one website, try another one. Accuweather looks more promising. Maybe we will get some serious painting done this week after all!

OK, that Tom has 3 days off and you get rained out is just God's way of telling you that you and he need to spend some quality time together! Do something fun if it rains! :)
