What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Wow!

"Wow" is right. Hm. While I love it that what's-his-name made a plug for Christianity on a nationally -syndicated news show (which is not to be sneezed at), I'm not sure how I feel about the rationale - turn to Christianity because it offers you a better deal than Buddhism... ? It just strikes me as a marketing thing. It's almost like, 'yeah, UCLA is a good school, but you'll get better job offers if you go to Notre Dame." I don't know - maybe I'm over-thinking it.....

I saw it last night and thought it was good; he basically told Woods to turn from Buddhism to the Christian faith - good advice for anyone - because in Christianity there is forgiveness and redemption, in contrast to other religions. I did not think of it in same way as previous commenter.
Dr. Bill Bennett replayed it on his show this morning, agreeing with Brit Hume.
