What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Sunday Hymn: Hark, the Savior's Voice

HARK, 'TIS THE SHEPHERD'S VOICE

Hark! 'tis the Shepherd's voice I hear,
Out in the desert dark and drear,
Calling the sheep who've gone astray
Far from the Shepherd's fold away.

Bring them in, bring them in,
Bring them in, from the fields of sin;
Bring them in, bring them in,
Bring the wandering ones to Jesus.

Who'll go and help this Shepherd kind,
Help him the wand'ring ones to find?
Who'll bring the lost ones to the fold,
Where they'll be sheltered from the cold?

Out in the desert hear their cry,
Out on the mountains wild and high;
Hark! 'tis the Master speaks to thee,
"Go find my sheep where'er they be."

Wonderful words of hope...

We sang this in Sunday School when I was a child, but I don't think I've sung it since then. Thanks for putting it in front of me again. What a calling we have to bring the wandering ones to Jesus!

I've never known this song; I read the words in the hymnal (a great book to peruse) and liked it.
