What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Sunday Hymn: I Know that My Redeemer Lives

I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVES

I know that my Redeemer lives,
And ever prays for me;
A token of his love he gives,
A pledge of liberty.

I find him lifting up my head;
He brings salvation near;
His presence makes me free indeed
And he will soon appear.

He wills that I should holy be:
Who can withstand his will?
The counsel of his grace in me
He surely shall fulfil.

Jesus, I hang upon thy Word:
I steadfastly believe
Thou wilt return and claim me, Lord,
And to thyself receive.

What a beautiful expression of confident assurance of salvation through the work of Christ on the cross! "Jesus, I hang upon thy Word," indeed!

During the past couple of weeks I've been impressed and awed by the thought that Jesus is praying for me now. And that "He will return and claim me"----wonderful, wonderful truth!

I know what you mean; the thought of Christ interceding for me is an amazing thought! As is the knowledge that He will return for His people.
