Happy Summer!

Today is the first day of summer!

Here are a few pictures from my garden to celebrate.

This is a new yellow tomato variety--Sun Sugar

No flowers in my window boxes this year.  They are planted with several varieties of coleus, sweet potato vine, asparagus fern and vinca vine.  I adore them!

I took this picture yesterday and you can see some buds but ALL the daisies are blooming now.  I love daisies.  The yarrow?  It's not the variety I was hoping for.  Too tall, flowers not the right shade of yellow or compact enough.  I think it's all going to have to find somewhere else to live.

Happy Summer. It's our winter solstice tonight. Brrrr! Wish I was in your sunny garden. Any lady beetles about?
Yes, the lady beetles arrive on my front porch as the sun comes across and leave as it moves away. ~Kim

"Kim's moving."
"Why?"
"Because her yarrow didn't come up right."

Hehehe silly girl. ;) That's a few squijillion more flowers than I have growing right now, me and my black thumb!

**blush**

Yes, that is a bit, well, picky, isn't it?

But I know what I wanted that that wasn't it! ~Kim

It all looks lovely, and it's so far ahead of my yard and garden.

Don't worry; with your long days, yours will catch up and surpass mine soon! Will you be posting garden pictures this year? I always enjoy seeing the progress of your garden! ~Kim

So lovely, Kim! We have leggy yarrow too, but as one of the flowers that will grow well at this altitude, it's staying put. (But it stinks; don't put it in a jug on your table like I did!)

I have pale pink peonies just bursting open; I just love them!

Keep the garden pics coming! I enjoy seeing them.
