It's a Jungle Out There
Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 07:47AM The yard has been woefully neglected for the past several weeks. This morning we're going to get out our machetes and fight our way into the jungle, attacking the weeds and the overgrowth, trimming the trees and bushes.
I hope we're too big to be carried off by the mosquitos.

Best wishes, Kim! Our garden has become an uncontrolled a pumpkin patch and the back half of the yard has been swallowed by a gourd plant--we didn't even plant gourds this year! XO
It too was a jungle here at my house, until my parents got ahold of it while my husband and I were in DC! Thank you, Mom and Dad! I am a terrible gardener. However, the real danger here was not so much the mosquitos as the poison ivy--two of my kids are covered in it after helping out their grandparents! I had to take them to the doctor for some serious meds! Hope you are not quite so inflicted...
Hey! That sounds like an adventure! You need a few little boys to help you with that one...then you'd have fun! ...You may not get as much done but I'm sure you'd make some great 'bases'!
Oh My! It is now 9:34pm EST. Kim posted this at 7:47am and we have not heard a word. I have been watching FOX channel in case there was a new flash about people being carried off by huge mosquitoes. Maybe they are laying in their shrubbery somewhere, knocked out from the beating wings of these Revelation beasts? Or there was a second coming and we have been left behind!!!! Kim, Kim, KIM!!! ;-O Who should we call? The Orkin Man? Ghostbusters? KKKIIIMMMMMM!!!
Ha ha ha! Present and accounted for! I'm scratched and bitten and tired and sore, but both the yard and I survived!!
