What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

All the purposes of man have been defeated, but not the purposes of God. The promises of man may be broken—many of them are made to be broken—but the promises of God shall all be fulfilled. He is a promise-maker, but He never was a promise-breaker; He is a promise-keeping God, and every one of His people shall prove it to be so. This is my grateful, personal confidence, "The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me"—unworthy me, lost and ruined me.

Sunday Hymn: Sing, O Sing, of My Redeemer

Sing, O Sing, of My Redeemer

I will sing of my Redeemer
And his wondrous love to me;
On the cruel cross he suffered,
From the curse to set me free.

Sing, O sing of my Redeemer!
With his blood he purchased me;
On the cross he sealed my pardon,
Paid the debt and made me free.

I will tell the wondrous story,
How my lost estate to save,
In his boundless love and mercy,
He the ransom freely gave.

I will praise my dear Redeemer,
His triumphant power I'll tell,
How the victory he giveth
Over sin and death and hell.

I will sing of my Redeemer
And his heav'nly love to me;
He from death to life has brought me,
Son of God, with him to be.

This is a great hymn! Isn't this one of Philip Bliss's hymns? I just love it!

Kim - thanks for adding the link to the Trinity hymnal - I didn't realise there was an on-line catalogue like that - it's very useful. We use the Baptist Edition but it looks the same.

I've been keeping a low profile so sorry if it's late but I like the look of your blog!
