What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

It is difficult to define Hiraeth, but to me it means the consciousness of man being out of his home area and that which is dear to him. That is why it can be felt even among a host of peoples amidst nature's beauty. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Quote of the Week:  Shay

The trouble begins, I think, when our passions are the beginning point of our decision-making, and not the Word of God. And unfortunately, because we are human beings, and sinful at heart, this will always be a struggle. That is why the Word of God simply must become part of us through regular reading and meditating over. It's not enough to just read; we need to think about it, pray about it, and let it soak into us so that when tough decisions come up, or we become discontent, we will tough it out with the truth, rather than pursue something that will satisfy our passions momentarily.
