Yesterday's catch

Tom's sister and brother-in-law are here visiting with us for the weekend. Yesterday we went antiquing here in town and after lunch we took off for Walworth, Wisconsin. There's a great Antique Mall in Walworth! If you live near Walworth and like antiques, plan a trip soon! You could spend hours there and never see it all!

Here are my two "catches" from yesterday's antiques fishing trip.

Today we're off to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin for lunch at Popeye's and more shopping.

Very good! I love that teapot!

Huh. I guess it's been a while since I've been antiquing. Maybe I'll give my mother-in-law a couple more weeks, then see if she wants to come down for a weekend. We have some good places around here, too.

Does this mean it's contagious, this love of old things?

Great teapot!

I forgot to mention that the inkwell is dated 1867 and the stylized ink shaft and nib is from Poland. The set was only $7. My purchases are rarely over $10 or $15

I can tell Carol it's contagious. Especially something with so much uniqueness for so cheap!

Cute pot. Can't beat a great find!

Oh, great finds! My hubby and I love antiquing, it is quite addictive! What a steal on that pen...wow.

I noticed that I have the date wrong here. The inkwell is dated 1897, not 1867. I think I must be dyslexic or topsey turvey! : )
