What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Tuesday Treasures

I visited Faith's blog tonight and learned about "Tuesday Treasures." You can read all about it here.

I'm getting this one up quick so I don't miss the Tuesday deadline, so it will be little more than a quick picture before I turn off the computer and call it a day.

The second Bible on the left belonged to my paternal grandmother, Mary Alta Meek Lafferty. I never knew her because she died when I was just a toddler, but it's nice to have her Bible, to hold it and know that it belonged to her.

Oh, and that white piece of paper all the way to the left? Well, that's my own personal hand written instructions for how to turn on the TV, cable box, DVD player without messing it all up and creating a blue screen that's really, really hard to fix.

Tom's been out of town for two days and I haven't had the nerve to try to turn the TV on yet!

I can watch TV when he gets home. . .

Can you say technically challenged?

I heard of this, Tuesday's Treasure, too late I'm afraid. But I also thought of my old Bibles when I saw it. I have one that my maternal Grandmother gave me, that was HER mother's! It's full of her notes in the margins and such, what a treasure! thanks for sharing~
