What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

The Dream is Over

baseball.JPGSniff.

I guess sufficient time has passed since the Cubbies dashed my dreams in three straight that I can blog about it now.

Was it the curse?  I don't believe in curses.

Was it simply that NEXT year will be the 100th anniversary since the last time they won the World Series and a Series show by the Cubbies would be, well, so much more dramatic next year?  Maybe.

Was it just a silly dream? Maybe, but not to me.

File under "things not seen."

Well, I've still got the Tribe to root for and next year to hope for and, after all, isn't that what sports are all about?

Go Tribe!!

Can you believe the Rockies are still in the playoffs?!
I'm sort of embarrassed to be a doubter...

GO ROCKIES!

I spent yesterday afternoon with my two nieces, (HUGE ANGEL FANS!) They had just been to the Angel game where their hopes were snuffed out, too. :(
