Could it be?

It's still very cold here. My computer tells me it's -7 degrees with a wind chill of -19.
And yet, I can hear a bird singing outside my window; singing for all the world as though spring is on its way.
I can't tell by the song what kind of bird it is. But I do know one thing about it; it must be a very hearty, optimistic bird!

We have a lot of cardinals in the neighbourhood. I think it's probably because my next door neighbor has a really awesome bird feeder. The cardinals like to roost in the shrubs around our house. The cat is having a wonderful time looking at them and fantasizing aobut catching them. I even tried letting him out, but it was too cold.
Birds amaze me in this cold weather. They are so little and skinny under those feathers, yet they know what to do maintain. I'm so impressed with our chickens in this way. XO
I haven't seen a bird in SO long! But it's warmer where you are. Enjoy!
Wow,it is cold where you are! I love the little bird singing...even in the cold. How sweet!
