What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

My husband and I enjoy visiting antique malls, thrift stores, and flea markets--sometimes looking for a particular little item, and sometimes just enjoying the stroll down memory lane!

Just yesterday we were coming home from what has become our annual "get away" and stopped at several such shops. Believe it or not, I thought of YOU when I found a huge collection of vintage/antique Valentine cards for sale! They were very charming and so beautiful. I resisted the temptation to start collecting them myself!

Oh, Connie! That's so sweet to think of me in an antique store--the only kind of store I really like to shop in!

; )

How did you resist picking up at least one little ol' card?

I remember valentines something like these!

Kim, it wasn't easy but I resisted because I am currently in a "purge" mode in my home!! :-) DH and I live in a very small house on a large lot (sort of country living in the city) which got even "smaller" when we adopted our two daughters several years ago! Two adults, two teens, two cats, one dog--Wow!
