Introducing the Bookmarklet
Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 12:35PM
Today I am introducing a new product at Bookworm Bookmarks--one that has been borne out of my own personal preference when it comes to bookmarks.
Because of the way I use books, I like to have a "dedicated bookmark" for my favorite books. I like them to be small enough to "hide" inside the book when not in use, but always available if I pull the book down from the shelf.
Here is the one I keep in my copy of The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Bookmarklets, as I have chosen to call them, are about the size of a business card. They are laminated for durability, but because of their size and their function, ribbons are not an option.

Kim, I just had to tell you what a great idea this is! I OFTEN return to books to reread or finish reading after a long break--your design would work great!
Thanks, Connie!
I frequently revisit books, especially theology books. I get out a bunch of them when I am preparing a lesson and work back and forth between them. Having a dedicated bookmark makes it easier to keep my place.
Hi Kim,
The bookmark I ordered from you was waiting for me when I got back to Washington yesterday. It really looks great! Thanks.
What a very great idea a bookmarklet is...hmmm I'm thinking maybe a great stocking stuffer for the readers in my family (for their favorite book that they read over and over and over again)
blessings,
ellen b.
I'm glad you like it, Ellen!
Thanks for the stocking stuffer idea! That gives me an idea for another giveaway during the holiday season!
Kim,
Been a while since I've been here - you still cross my mind occasionally, from visiting here often when I was blogging A LOT! :)
These bookmarklets are a really great idea!!
Just wanted to drop by and say hi! :)
Great idea, Kim! I have a book that I often return to throughout the year, though I've read it many times. A bookmarklet would be perfect. XO
