What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

I confess that I have lived in Chicagoland for four years and until yesterday, I had never been Downtown.

Art?  I confess; I don't get it.

I adore Albrecht Durer.  I wasn't happy until I saw one of his works.  Wouldn't've been fun without it.
I confess I was a bit disappointed that there were only two small woodcuts hanging in a hallway.   I confess I was expecting a whole roomful.

I confess this guy's stance made me think of Steve Martin playing one of "Two Wild and Crazy Guys" on Saturday Night Live.

I think Chicago is one of the prettiest cities. I've visited twice, but didn't have time to take in the museum on either trip. :(

I'm enjoying your Sunday confessions!

Hi Kim,
Thanks for the peek at my late in-laws hometown.
My MIL would often bring gifts from Marshall Fields. She just loved that store!!

My husband has been to Chicago once on business--and he loved it! He keeps saying we need to go for a visit. Thanks for the confessional...and the pics...and the insight into the Windy City!

It's fun to discover your "home town!" I still call Macy's Hudson's here - unless I went to Chicago, in which case it would be Marshall Fields. I don't understand why they don't just leave the stores the same name they were when they took over...... Nice photos! Glad you had a good trip!!

I've never been there but my sister lived there for 4 years.

I lived in Philly for a year and we enjoyed the Art Museum while we were there.
